Cherry Tomato Steak Pasta

Ingredients
Wagyu
  • Darling Downs Flap Meat 200g

Ingredient
  • 100g of spaghetti noodles

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • 6 to 8 cherry tomatoes

  • Olive oil

  • 4 to 5 cloves of garlic

  • Thyme herb

  • Oregano (can be substituted with parsley)

  • 3 to 5 basil leaves

  • 2 to 3 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese

Method

Step1

Pat dry the moisture of the Wagyu with a kitchen towel, then brush it with olive oil and season it with salt and pepper to taste. Once the pan is hot, sear the Wagyu briefly according to your preference (Well Done: about 8 minutes, Medium Well: about 7 minutes, Medium: about 6 minutes, Medium Rare: about 4 minutes, Rare: about 2 minutes. We recommend serving it medium). Turn off the heat and let the Wagyu rest at room temperature for about 10 minutes while you prepare the pasta.

Step 2

In the same pan, add olive oil and garlic, and sauté for 2-3 minutes over low heat. Add cherry tomatoes, thyme herb, oregano (optional), salt, and pepper. Stir until the tomatoes are softened and crushed.

Step 3

Slice the Wagyu and add it to the pan. Stir-fry together.

Step 4

Add cooked pasta to the pan and toss well to combine.

Step 5

Add Parmesan cheese according to your taste and mix it in. Plate the pasta and Wagyu together, then sprinkle with basil and Parmesan cheese according to your preference.
